so, there's this guy i work w/ named Derek. Derek is an artist who posts here as well. he tells me the other day that he came across my gallery and liked it a lot! but a lot of them were favorited or added to collections but they weren't commented on. "yes" i say.
"well doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose f posting?"
"why would it?" i ask.
" i post to share my talent to the world and to also connect w/ other talented artist as well. i don't need them to comment unless they want to. heck, i've even favorited a few drawings and never commented. i don't need that type of validation i know i can draw as well as i know the people i visit know they can draw. we don't need anyone to validate us. we validate ourselves"
"i guess. but i always hunt then down and request a comment. i like to know that all of my hard work is appreciated!"
"as do i but if they don't comment every pic, it's no biggie"

does anyone else feel the same as Derek? [be honest-lol!] do you guys post in hopes of being commented on by everyone? i guess it's all preference. or maybe i'm reading way into it. kind of like he is hmmm...
